Bacolaodiat Festival 2015 Schedule of Activities - Bacolod City

Here comes the month of February, love is in the heart of the many and I remember a place during these month, the city of smile. Bacolod City or known to be as the city of smile is now celebrating its 9th Bacoloadiat festival.

The festival was started in year 2006 by the Chinese in the town. Bacolaodiat comes from the word Bacolod and Laodiat means an overwhelming happiness and good fortune. This year festival was organized by Negros Tsinoy under the leadership of Mr. Fred Barcelona, which symbolizes the union of the Filipino and Chinese culture that plays an important role for the progress of Negros Occidental.

I remember a dazzling illuminated colorful giant lanterns, lighted floats, fireworks, cultural activities showing Philippine and Chinese cultures.
